A nice hike on the lakefront of Garda from Torbole - Riva del Garda - and ascent - to Santa Barbara.
Beautiful walk in the northern part of Lake Garda.
The first stretch from Torbole to Riva del Garda is a fabulous walk along the lakefront. then a fantastic climb to the Church of Santa Barbara.
We start from Torbole and go towards Riva del Garda,,; we walk along Passeggiata dell'Ora, we cross the suggestive bridge over the Sarca River (tributary of the Garda) and Sarca mouth. we continue along the Adige Garda cycle route. we pass by Forte San Nicolò.
A panoramic stop. then Porto San Nicolò. Sabbioni beach, Punta Lido lakefront, Via marconi, We pass next to the Rocca di Riva del Garda, also home to the MAG the Alto Garda Museum, Piazza garibaldi, Piazza Battisti, Piazza San Rocco, we take Via Monte D'Oro, , then left Via al Bastione and here now always uphill, we pass next to Villa Lina, Strada Santa Maria Maddalena, until you reach the Bastion. A must stop to admire Riva del Garda, view from above. We are walking along the path 404 of the Italian Alpine Club that leads us to the church of Santa Barbara.
